How do PV solar panels work?
Put simply, solar photovoltaic panels turn the light energy from the sun into clean electricity. Although the panels are most effective on clear days they still produce electricity when it's cloudy. PV solar panels generate electricity in DC (Direct Current) a form of electricity usually found in batteries using low voltages. Higher voltage DC is considerably more dangerous than AC although both are dangerous.
The DC electricity is then converted into so that it can be used in your household, this is done with the help of an inverter which is put in place to synchronise with the grid frequency and feed electricity to your home or back to the grid.
Once the electricity is generated it passes through a meter which records how much you have generated, you then receive an income of up to 43.3 for every KWh of electricity you generate.
Make electricity from Solar PV even on a cloudy day
Even on a cloudy day PV solar panels still produce electricity. This is thanks to Photo Voltaic cells not having to rely on direct sunlight, but also being able to absorb energy from solar radiation, which is present in the atmosphere during daylight hours. Obviously the amount of useful electricity generated is related to the intensity of light energy which falls into the conversion area but you can still have an electricity supply even when it rains.
